Keep getting connection failed messages when trying to network my Macs

I believe I've got all the preferences set up correctly. but I continue to get the "Connection Failed" message. I attempt to share screen and get "There was a problem connecting go the server "Bacon's blah blah blah." Does the same thing in both directions.


iMac 27", macOS 10.14
