Documents folder size error

information about system says folder Documents is 12Gb. but when i press "Manage", finder shows it's actually about 25 Mb. Green - Documents. I miss 12 Gb on my 128 Gb Air. How can I make it really 25 Mb?

System information storage doesn't make sense/Documents Folder Doesn't Add Up I am trying to organize my hard drive and looking at space available I see that many things are showing up twice. Once under "documents" and then in another section below. Music, for instance, shows up under documents as taking up 35.93GB and then takes up 31.27GB in its own app. Also, Why is the documents folder 43.8 GB. Nothing in it even adds up to that amount? This is insane and I want to know what the 43.8 GB is when my actual documents only take up about 6GB and everything else under that section (e.g., music, pictures, movies) is already taking up space in a different section.

Document storage not adding up When I look at the "Storage" info on my computer, it says that roughly 80GB are being taken up by "Documents". When I look through the "File browser" in the "Manage Storage" section, the totals only add up to around 15GB. Any ideas on where the additional 65GB could be coming from?

Reindex your drive for Spotlight and then check. I have no problem with the two being the same:

nope, it really is 12 Gb, but I only find 25 Mb. where are all that 12 Gb situated? maybe some linked folders like in linux or something.
