Dead (?) iMac

Hello all, My old computer, an iMac running Snow Leopard, has been chugging along nicely, but now appears to be dead.

Yes, it is plugged in ;-)

I hit the power button on the back (lower left corner) and nothing happens: no Apple chime, no hint of light, just a silent black screen.

Is there any hope of resurrection?

TIA for all help!

Ch.S.

Also check the cord on the back of your iMac. Sometimes it can come part way out of the socket.

Then try everything, at > If your Mac doesn't turn on or start up - Apple Support

If none of the above help? Then sounds like either the power supply or logic board has failed.
