Itunes to Iphone help

Hello, I’m trying to transfer music that I have on itunes that have been imported from CD’s onto my Iphone. When I connect my iphone to itunes and click on the phone icon I go to the music settings. However, it does not allow me to select anything. It just says “iCloud Music Library is On”. Then underneath it says “iphone can access your icloud music library. Songs can be downloaded and played via wi-fi or a cellular network.”

I do have a subscription to apple music. I thought by maybe if I turn it off temporarily icloud music library that it would work. But I got a message on my phone saying it would delete all of my music if I switch it off.

So I honestly don’t know what I am doing wrong here. If anyone can help me that would be great!

iPhone 7, iOS 11

Turning off iCloud Music Library on the iPhone will delete any Apple Music content on the device and likely the playlists delivered through it too. They should remain in the iTunes library if you leave iCloud Music Library enabled there. See About iCloud Music Library icons and status - Apple Support. If your content is all marked as matched or uploaded then it should all be available on your device to stream or download. Content that shows waiting, ineligible, error, etc. should be corrected in the iTunes library.
