Connecting Homepod to AirPlay2 supported Samsung TV

Hi,

my Samsung TV supports Airplay2 but cannot be visible in HomeKit. Is there any way I can set up HomePod as a speaker of my TV without buying Apple TV ? I really don't see a reason to buy Apple TV when my Samsung already have AirPlay 2.

Airplay to HomePod After Setting as Home Theater I set up my HomePod and Apple TV as a Home Theater, which is going great! However there are times when I just want to continue what’s playing on my iPhone directly to HomePod, but it seems it always has to go through Apple TV now. I don’t see the HomePod as a stand-alone device anymore. Is this the expected behavior? It seems like a waste of energy to always have to use my Apple TV and TV when all I want is to play music.

Homepod Mini and Apple TV 4k 1st Gen Hi, can i use the homepod mini wih the Apple TV 4k 1st gen? The version i have on the Apple TV is 16.2 and it says that the device is up to date. I just read on the Apple website that in order to use the home cinema audio i need to have at least tvOS 16.3. Does that refer to the Dolby function only? Or i just cannot use my homepod mini as a speaker while i watch Apple TV? Many thanks
