iCloud Drive occupying 50+ data on iPhone

My iPhone storage is 256 model. 50 gb is occupied by iCloud Drive but I turned off iCloud Drive and have only one device synced with that account. I have virtually nothing on my iCloud, it's just 250mb out of 5gb. I even checked in the Files all and I even turned off iCloud photos, then I restarted the device but still it shows 54.19 GB. Please help.

'iCloud Drive' taking up storage on iPhone I have 'iCloud Drive' taking up 29/128 GB's of storage on my iPhone XR. I did not try to access any files that are stored on iCloud through my iPhone. Also, I never even had 29gb worth of files on my phone (excluding apps, photo's, video's, etc., which are listed separate from this 'iCloud Drive'). So it cannot be 'files there are stored in iCloud but are accessible on the iPhone and therefore take up local storage', like Apple Support always seems to think. I have contacted Apple Support multiple times about this, and no one seems to understand it. Everyone just links this page: Manage your iCloud storage – Apple Support (UK) which of course doesn't explain anything, if you understand the question. So, does anyone from the community maybe know this problem? And maybe even a solution? Thanks in advance!

Deleting files does not affect the storage used by iCloud Drive on my iPhone. I have permanently delete (also clear recently deleted folder) all my unused files from iCloud drive and now it consumes less than 60 MB icloud storage. But, when I check my iPhone's storage (in Settings> iPhone storage) , iCloud drive still shows about 1.64 GB (says my recently accessed files are downloaded to this device for quick access). Actually I delete my files 2-3 days ago and several times restart my iPhone. At last I update to latest version. But this does not help me to save storage. I'm using 5S (12.5.4). Please help me to find a solution.
