Hey do you know how to stop a program from launching at startup??

First, go to System Preferences > Users & Groups > Startup items. If it is there use the minus (-) button to delete it.
Then check Apple menu > Logout, Restart or Shutdown to see if "Reopen windows when logging back in" is checked, if it is then uncheck it.

Should the app not be in your startup items, run etrecheck to figure out where the app resides.
I'd run etrecheck. The proprietary stuff gets filtered.

When the report is done, click on the export icon.
click on "Copy report" to copy to the clipboard
Get back in your web browser and access your discussion. Create a
new reply. Click on the <> code icon. Paste you etrecheck
output into the code block.
