First, go to System Preferences > Users & Groups > Startup items. If it is there use the minus (-) button to delete it.

Then check Apple menu > Logout, Restart or Shutdown to see if "Reopen windows when logging back in" is checked, if it is then uncheck it.

Should the app not be in your startup items, run etrecheck to figure out where the app resides.

I'd run etrecheck. The proprietary stuff gets filtered.

the bottom of the screen.

-- Run etrecheck.   The first five runs are free.
