Video window behaving very strangely

After the last update, video playback has gone wrong in a very weird way. Whenever I try to play a movie or show, the video plays as normal...in the top left quarter of the frame. The rest of the window shows whatever application I have open "behind" itunes.

Okay, so I started clicking and unclicking things in the properties window, writing them out so I could nail it down if something worked, and it looks like the box to "Override high DPI scaling behavior" was checked and that was causing the issue. I don't actually know what that means? But it seems to have done the trick?
