Ipod Classic

While trying to set up my IPod in a new car, it completely froze and will not do anything. I have tried all the on-line and support tricks to no avail and it has been plugged into the original charger for over 24 hours and nothing. It was previously working until the dealer tried different outlets in the council to switch the outlets so that I did not have cords hanging all over the place. Any suggestions? I tried calling Apple support and they said that they did not repair IPods and sent me to Best Buy. When I called them, they advised that they do not fix them either. Help! I want my IPod back!!!
