Group FaceTime not working - Contact greyed

Hello,

I have an iPhone XS Max with IOS 12.1. Anytime I try to initiate a group FaceTime, the contacts are greyed out and I'm not able to select them. It's the same when I try to add during a FaceTime call. Whenever someone else tries to add me, it won't let them (my name is greyed out) but it'll allow them to add other people. The people I try to FaceTime with all have higher than the iPhone 6s and they all have iOS 12.1.
