Hi,
I save an image as a .jpg in Photoshop with the image mode Grayscale.
In the Finder, when I select this image, the preview next to it shows the picture for about 2/10 of a second and then turns to black.
Why and can I do anything about it, other than setting the mode to RGB?

I've got TIFFs saved as Interleaved, but that shouldn't influence how JPG's are saved, should it?

Even though I would like to know the cause, I'm not too inclined to go through the entire procedure of re-installing the OS.
Don't save it as grayscale. Save it as RGB, but in black and white. It will make zero difference to the display of the photograph. This issue used occur with iPhoto on different versions of the OS. RGB is better supported, and, as I say, make not a whit of difference.
