No delete option for playlists or songs in iTunes (without deleting from Library)

Please help.

I have no delete option for playlists or songs, other than "remove download" or "delete from library".

I use to be able to just delete a playlist without deleting the song now I can't seem to find a way to do so.

This is both on iTunes on my iMac, and my iPhone (have also tried swiping from right to left on playlist, doesnt allow a swipe).

i just want to delete all the duplicate playlists that iTunes creates everytime I sync with my iPhone.

Have read a couple of similar posts, but no one got answers as everyone says, right click delete - there is no such option.

For smart playlists you can only remove songs from the list, without removing from the library, by changing the rules.

For playlist folders you must remove from any nested list the track is in.

For regular playlists selecting the track and pressing the delete key on your keyboard should remove the item from the list, but leave it in the library.

Deleting a playlist will normally leave all of the tracks in the library, unless this is an iCloud only playlist that was added to the library in a way that doesn't add the tracks to the main library playlist.

Change your sync rules such that none of the duplicate copies of playlists are scheduled to sync. Sync to clean up all of the copies on the phone, remove the redundant copies, set up your syncing again.
