Apple Pages for Mac: Convert text to table?

I am guessing the answer to this is "no, not any more", but in Pages, is it possible to convert text into a table? Is there any script that can do this?

Convert text to table in pages on MacBook Air M2 chip Can't understand why it is SO difficult to make something that SHOULD be so easy so hard to figure out, or find info on. I have a list of names I want to put into a table then alphabetize. How can I do this without having to type all 425 names and move them manually?

No built-in text <-> table conversion functionality, and a script is unnecessary.

See this post, that written for Pages v5, still works today in Pages 8.1.
