iTunes suddenly won't let me play home videos on my iPhone and iPad since their upgrade

I don't know who you are, but Apple needs to hire you right away because you're a genius. Your workaround worked! Thank you so much. Now I can carry around my home movies around with me on my iPhone. After talking to so many people at Apple, your fix was so easy to use and best of all, it works! Cheers and have a great week!

Update: Yes, I removed the video from my device and when I tried to add it back, it was no longer there. :( I'll try to find it in my backup.

Update: I found the video on iCloud, put it back into my iTunes Library, re-synced my iPhone, and I still get the error message that the video "can't be loaded." Just to refresh anyone's memory (in case people are still reading this thread), my old home movies used to play fine on my iPad mini 3 and iPhone 6s UNTIL Apple did away with the Video app. The videos will still play in iTunes on my computer (a PC) and on my old iPad2 (which still has the video app). Apple has tried to help, but it seems like they have no further suggestions. Has anyone out there experienced Video glitches since Apple changed their Video app to "TV" app?
