Did someone contact your email saying your Apple ID is being disconnected? They ask you to login and verify your personal information. THEN ask for your Social Security number?

If so Donot proceed with the verification... It is a Scam to get your personal information may be related to identity theft or something else. I googled the question and Apple has assured they do not need our Social Security numbers to verify or create an account at APPLE ID.
