FaceTime poor connection will not go away

FaceTime poor connection won’t go away.

I FaceTime a lot and about 6-8 months ago an update happened that causes long FaceTime calls to freeze and have “poor connection” show up. The call never resumes and you have to hang up and call again. I rely on FaceTime for a long distance relationship. I have started to use Skype even though it is lesser quality because it does not make you hang up and call back every hour or so. It happens on both my phone and my girlfriends phone and it doesn’t matter the wifi we are using. We changed locations and routers and it always happens. Does apple know about this issue or do they care?
