Hi everybody, my macbook is not able to play smoothly my videos which I captured with a HD camera.
(Sony A7 iii) The format is mp4
Is the problem my macbook capacity or the format or something else...

MP4 files should play through Quicktime. You might also try with VLC.

If the videos aren't playing smoothly it might also indicate a hard drive issue.

Yes, it does sound like a failing hard drive. Be sure to keep your backups up to date, at least daily if not more often. You can download and run Etrecheck for more information on the hard drive. It is a diagnostic tool that's very useful to us in finding problems. Also it will give us further specs on your Mac. After it runs post the log file here. It will contain no personal information. Allowing full drive access will improve the quality of the report.
