Cannot connect to iTunes Store

Recently my MacBook Pro stopped connecting to iTunes Store . . . I'm unable to purchase music. I can still use my library. I am running Mojave 10.14.5, and have the latest version of iTunes installed. I suspect something got cleaned out when I ran MacKeeper recently that is causing the problem. What should I do to get iTunes to work again?

Thanks,

Ed

Greetings Frijole,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities! I understand you're unable to connect to the iTunes Store on your MacBook Pro.

I suggest verifying your internet connection, checking for software updates, and verifying the date and time settings on your Mac. You can see those suggestions, and further troubleshooting steps, from the following support article: If you can't connect to the App Store, iTunes Store, or Apple Books - Apple Support

Let me know how it goes from here.

Kind regards.

Brenden: Thanks for the reply. I've tried all those steps . . . I have the latest OS version, Mojave 10.14.5, and the latest iTunes update. Date and time settings are all correct. I was hoping that I could maybe reinstall Mojave and get the connections back, but all I'm able to do is get the latest update. When I go to iTunes, I can see the iTunes page, and I can search for a band or a song, but it will not connect to allow me to purchase the song.
