Apple Music Shuffle Broken iOS 12.3

Shuffle doesn't light up or work in any aspect any longer no matter where I press it.

How do you tell if Shuffle is on? Small but annoying bug I think: There's no way to tell if shuffle is on on my Music app (1.2.1.40). See the attached screenshots. In the first image, the songs are not shuffling. In the second, they are. But nothing looks different to indicate that. In the old iTunes, the Shuffle button would turn blue or something when it was on I believe. Am I missing something?

Turning Shuffle on and off What's up with Shuffle? I see no visual indication when it's on or off. In fact, right now I can't get it to freaking turn off. What gives?

Close the music app and restart your device

This fix only works for the first use of the app; afterwards I must do it again or the problem continues, and occasionally it doesn't fix the issue at all.
