I cannot forward a text message to any of my e-mail addresses. They just come back to my text page. Following the "help" Apple gives doesn't work. I do not have a "Forward Text Message" option in my messaging menu. Anyone else have this issue?

What SravanKrA has provided is Text Message Forwarding, which will forward your text messages to appear on all of your devices. Seems to me you are speaking about taking a text message you have received on your iPhone and wish to forward this to someone's email, am I correct? To my knowledge, that will not work. I just tried it twice, and I've not received the mail. You can copy the text message, then you can paste it to an email and send it that way.
"Forwarding Text Message" is for sending to other devices using the same Apple ID (Mac, iPad, another iPhone etc). Read more...

I agree, Chris. So, it's a multiple step process... for the text, copy and paste into e-mail. For photos, save on the phone first, THEN send the phot to e-mail. Same with contact info someone sends (like a contact card). Thank you!
So, if I only have my iPhone, I cannot send MYSELF a text-to-email? I am trying to send a text on my iPhone to a company or yahoo e-mail address. Am I now finally grasping that this cannot be done?
