How to retrieve iMovie Theater movies from iCloud

I have made many family movies over many years and shared them from iMovie to iMovie Theater. Occasionally I downloaded from iCloud to edit or share to iTunes or YouTube. Since the last update, Theater no longer being supported, and now I don't know how to download the movies that are still in iCloud because they are still viewable on iMovie Theater on my original old Apple TV app.

I used to click the iMovie Theater tab in iMovie and click the cloud download / import option. Theater tab is gone from iMovie on my MacBook. How do I access my precious family memories to download and save to iTunes or Photos? Please help

Hi,

I believe that you can open iMovie, click on Window/Go to Theater from the main menu, and access your theater movies. There is a tab that says, "Open iCloud Drive". While you can't any longer share to Theater, you should be able to download from the cloud any movies that you previously shared to Theater. Not entirely sure about that since I don't have any movies stored in the cloud to test that. So, try it and see. Also, click on the "Learn More" link for more info.
