My airdrop has stopped showing contact names and is only showing generic iPhone, iPhone(2), etc.
I can exchange data with the devices but it’s a gamble of which device I’m sending to.
In this screenshot I know that this is my wife’s phone, and that she is in my contacts.

2. You also mention your wife is in your contacts. This may be related to the default contacts account being used. Please check this help article: Get help using iCloud Contacts, Calendars, or Reminders - Apple Support
