RAM incorrect installation

Hi I think I’m being paranoid but I tried to upgrade the RAM on my 27 inch iMac.

The first ram chip I tried to install the wrong way. I didn’t apply too much force and I noticed it wouldn’t go all the way in because the notch wasn’t aligned.

I checkd the chip and it looked fine. I corrected the way it’s meant to be put in and installed both chips.

My imac is running fine. The ram chips have registered and I ran diagnostics. All good.

im Just worried I may have damaged my motherboard. But again prob me being paranoid. If anyone can shed some light and provide reassurance that would be great. Thanks.
