My Apple Watch series 3 38 has a small crack all around the edge of the screen. I want to protect it from the crack getting worse and allowing water damage. Is there a screen protector or case that you recommend?

If the screen has a crack the damage is already done and a screen protector is not going to help. It certainly won’t prevent water damage and it is unlikely to protect you from the broken edges. The only service and repair ( usually an exchange watch) is through Apple so Contact Support and arrange to get the watch checked by Apple with a quote for service.
