Block specific apps in ios12?

Is there a way to block specific apps on ios12 outside of bulit ins? Setting age restrictions is too restrictive. There are a handful of apps I do not want my teen to access, but so far it seems like all or nothing restrictions.

iPhone XR, iOS 12

Remove them from the phone and enable restrictions against downloading apps, which will prevent them from being downloaded again. You will also need to hide the purchases in iTunes so the child can no longer access them in Purchases, or they would be able to download them from there. It is difficult to design Restrictions to cover all possible scenarios of how adults wish to use them for their children.
