Get a complete and current backup, if you do not already have one.

Remove Clean My Mac.

Use the vendor’s instructions.

Given various other postings discussing issues with and discussing the removal of that and of similar cleaning tools, a (partial) reinstall of macOS may be required to remediate any remaining corruptions.

And by all appearances, you do have a corruption here.

Which means downloading High Sierra from the Mac App Store, and re-installing it here. Do not erase and reformat. That re-install is usually harmless to your files, but does reload the operating system and its files.

But again, do have that external backup. Or two. Your own data is the toughest to recover.

Restoration? I wouldn’t be sure that other corruptions haven’t or didn’t start earlier than the overt corruption, for whatever caused this. It’d be nice if this were the only corruption and that no other latent corruptions existed, but that’s not certain. Add-on privileged software—anti-malware, anti-malware, cleaner apps—have full system access and variously don’t and/or can’t coordinate with macOS for whatever parts of macOS they’re modifying... And you probably don’t want to restore to prior to when the cleaner was installed and if that app was the cause here, because that could well have been a while ago and you’d lose your other updates and changes.

Here’s a direct link to download High Sierra: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/macos-high-sierra/id1246284741?ls=1&mt=12

Or use a second Mac, download High Sierra there, and build a bootable installer. Transfer that to the problem Mac, and use that for a backup, and to reinstall without the erasure.

Again, have a complete backup first. This because the corruptions might necessitate a wipe and reinstallation and migrating in your files and apps from the backup.

Whew, most of my tools have a problem with http://www.techstream.net/, but my browser gets it???

Make a New Location, Using network locations in Mac OS X ...

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2712

System Preferences>Network, top of window>Locations>Edit Locations, little plus icon, give it a name.

System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.

The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.

Instead of joining your Network from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed.

System Preferences>Network, unlock the lock if need be, highlight the Interface you use to connect to Internet, click on the advanced button, click on the DNS tab, click on the little plus icon, then add these numbers...

EtreCheck is a simple little app to display the important details of your system configuration and allow you to copy that information to the Clipboard. It is meant to be used with Apple Support Communities to help people help you with your Mac.

http://www.etresoft.com/etrecheck

Pastebin is a good place to paste the whole report...

https://pastebin.com/

Workable but harder for me to work with...the Note tool on the bottom of this editor's toolbar, as shown in the image, to copy and paste the output from EtreCheck.

There is also Malwarebytes...

You don't have another Browser to test?

Open Network Utility>Traceroute tab, enter google.com, what does that report?

Traceroute has started…

@ Mr. Hoffman & BD Aqua: Reading both your comments gave me the Idea to verify and compare IP and MAC address for the Network connection. My ISP is www.techstream.net in Pine Bluff Arkansas.

I entered them in the address bar of Safari, Firefox, & Google Chrome with the same result. When I enter www.Techstream.net & Azotel prefixes Techstream in the address bar and reroutes to Azotel.

I did a Google Search in Firefox and Techstream's site info come up, but select the main website, support, residential plans or business plans and each is rerouted to Azotel.

I believe it possible when I gave my MAC address on my MacBook to Tech Support & he used it attempting to connect to our radio it added the MacBook MAC Address to TechStream's network path for our account...I know the MAC Address of our Airport Express is used for communication with our network over their radio transceiver on the roof that communicates with their tower about 2 miles away.

So, I took screen shots of the WiFi Network Info then went to Airport Utility and looked at my MacBook. Same IP and MAC Address. Checked MAC Address of Airport Extreme Not the same as WiFi Network Info.

If I am on the correct PATH. I need to contact Techstream to have my the Network info IP and MAC changed to the Airport Express. In Hind sight, I never remember Tech support wanting the MAC Address of one of my computers to connect to the ISP..

BTW I selected the Link to TechStream.net in the first line and it routed me to Azotel. Request you see if it will load correctly from your end.

Yes, confirm: Logged out of the App Store, and back in again. Also tried the Mac App Store while in Safe Mode.

Just finished creating a new adminstator account using my wife name and email accounts... both in normal and safe modes App Store still no icons.

I do have an anti-malware "Malwarebytes/free" that I used for several years without issues and for over two years I have been using "Clean My Mac" that has cleaner and optimizers; which also has seemed not an issue. The only firewall used is the one in "security and privacy" in system preferences. The Malwarebytes has shown clean scans for several months. The Clean My Mac log shows it was run on Saturday 7/13/19 at 22:47.

New OS installed from bootable drive. Still no icons in App Store and have additional issue with Safari and websites loading. (I exported Book Marks before install and imported them back into Safari favorites)

(1) Safari Can't Connect to Server, most often when I select a link within an email to go to a page. (Example: Received email My electric bill statement was ready. Clicking on the link to go to their page resulted in Safari message Safari can't connect to Server. The site loads correctly when accessing with bookmark in favorites. After loggin off again got the Safari message) (2) When select some of the favorites to go to the website all but three of them load correctly. One of the loads the Safari Can't connect... the other two reroute to Azotel Outside site. (One of those is Apple.com) TO TOP THINGS OFF: THIS IT TRUE OF ALL MACS ON OUR WiFi Airport extreme network . I have never heard of Azotel and the search for it's website for info, won't load because Safari can't connect. I got an email from our ISP yesterday after I finished getting back on line that they are in the process of upgrades on their towers and on servers...I am starting to wonder if the problem mght not be local. When the errors started I had forgotten that Shortly after 11 pm on the 19th the internet went down and when I got up on the 20th the internet was still down about 7:30 AM The ISP tech support had me attempted to connect to by having me connect to the POE supply with my MacBook by ethernet with the MAC Address. I was told I needed a new power supply and someone would be out. I received a text from the owner shortly after noon I should be up but no explanation. Another email today to expect short periodic interruption. I went on line with Firefox and the same sites do not load on it either.

Beyond trying to resolve the Can't load issues, I going to wait for the ISP to work their bugs out.

Have you ever heard of Azotel? A short time ago I also got a message the same log in page for them when logging in after restart for the WiFi.

What you’ve shown looks like a captive Wi-Fi portal, or wireless network provider portal of some sort.

If this is effecting several local systems using the same ISP network connection, and if your ISP is reportedly working on upgrades, then this is almost certainly a problem with the network you’re connected to.

I suspect your ISP still has a few upgrade-related kinks to work out. Either with your ISP modem, or within the ISP network.
