I have seen this asked and not answered. Frankly, I don't appreciate Apple making this such a game, for me to be able to easily save to my computer automatically INSTEAD of automatically to iCloud.
If I am incorrect, please let me know. I cannot find a setting.
As it is now, I have to "Move" every document manually.

Open Numbers, create your file, choose ‘Save’ in the second menu at the menubar (I don’t know how this is called in English, please let me know ). You’ll get a window where you can give a title (Save as...) and change the Location
