I have also been experiencing the same issue on the same model macbook pro for the last couple of days. I tried resetting SMC, Boot recovery First Aid, and even Reinstalled 10.13 via Boot Recovery (did not reformat the drive), none of which solved the problem. Headed over to the App store to check for updates and found Security Update 2019-004 which I had already installed days before the issue began:

Lo and behold after installing this update again, the issue was resolved. Seems like Apple may have introduced a bug with the initial update and quickly patched it.

You could try and see if by starting up in Safe mode, this issue could self-resolve.

• Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac - Apple Support

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262

"Start up in safe mode. To start up in safe mode: Start or restart your

Mac, then immediately press and hold the Shift key..."

(should there be any peripheral items attached by cable, disconnect them

and after troubleshooting be sure to restart normally)

Good luck & happy trails!🌞

Thanks for your reply naveen444. Some time ago the App Store was redesigned in Mojave and I can't find any info on recent updates. When I go to Updates it will only show the ones that I didn't install yet. No recent updates.

Was just wondering how would I be able to see past updates.

Honestly those kernel panics are doing me head in now. It's been a few days of trying to sort it out.

The issue i have seen here is in High sierra. I have installed Security update 2019-004 update on July 23. July 30 I have seen one more update on top of this with same name (Security update 2019-004) i have updated it. Now in my app store updates it shows two updates with same name Security update 2019-004. I guess, it would be same for Mojave. Try it once.
