Apple TV keeps waking up on its own
My new Apple TV keeps triggering a power-on or input switch on its own. This also seems to happen sometimes when everything is off, even if I specifically had just told the Apple TV to sleep.

It is either picking up on network activity or there is an issue with HDMI CEC
To verify the network
If on wifi try ethernet
To see a current status of the network get a report from stumbler, netstumbler or similar. Look for signal strength, noise, nearby networks
Test on another network
If it's related to CEC then that is dependent on the TV
If you don't use CEC you can disable it on the Apple TV settings - remotes & devices.
If you want to continue using CEC then refer to the TV manual for troubleshooting, check for any updates, and consult with the manufacturer if necessary
