Connecting and rebooting

I have moved from Canada to Thailand. No matter whether I turned on my MBP from a fresh start or brought it out of sleep mode, when I was in Canada it automatically logged in to my home WiFi and never a problem. Where I am now, the residence has WiFi also. When I turn on the MBP for a fresh started, I can go to the WiFi of the place and log in with my username and password. However when I bring it out of sleep mode, it will not connect unless I shut it down and go from a fresh start. I assume that there is a setting where I can have it log in from sleep mode instead of having to reboot. Does anyone have ideas? Thanks
