will not turn off

my phone isn't turning off, I can swipe and log in my phone but none of the apps open and it won't turn normal off or fully off please help.

Hi mandyneef,

Try force restart your iPhone X following these steps:

  1. Press and quickly release the Volume Up button.
  2. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button.
  3. Press and hold the Side button (for about 10s) until the device restarts.


If Siri pops up between step 2 and 3, then you haven't pressed the volume buttons correctly and should try again.


If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't turn on or is frozen - Apple Support
