kernel panic three times since upgrading to 10.14.6

I upgraded to 10.14.6 on July 22. After that, I had a kernel panic on July 25 and twice today. Could anyone help with it?

logs are below.

My panic logs were exactly the same as the ones above (AppleEmbeddedPCIeUpLinkMgmt::_linkInterruptAction(IOInterruptEventSource *, int): \" \"A link timeout has been seen after 100000 microseconds and 49999 iterations.).

Apple returned my Mac (2018 MBP) very quickly and replaced the "Logic Board" (Diagnosis: Kernel Freezes) and "Touch ID Board" (Diagnosis: Cable causing Issue) in it, the diagnostics at the Depot were able to reproduce the issue I assume. Updated to 10.14.6 18G87, no reboots so far and everything works perfectly.

The replacement logic board came with macOS 10.14.4, but the current Boot ROM (220.270.99.0.0) and iBridge/T2 (16.16.6568.0.0,0) firmware version on it. My old logic board had the same firmware versions on it.

Yes, you can download High Sierra (I have done it just yesterday to upgrade an older mac that can't run Mojave), but it is not obvious, as a search in the App Store produces no results.

HOWEVER, any mac that was released after Mojave cannot run High Sierra.

In that case, you could try installing Catalina beta instead.

Here is a link to download High Sierra:

Same problem. I can recreate a panic by using video (multiple times per day). Sometimes it happens after a few minutes, sometimes after more like 45 minutes. I mainly use Sococo for video, but I've recreated the problem using either zoom, gotomeeting, or Cisco Webex.

Curious, did any of you have this before the upgrade?

Seems unlikely to be a 'logic board' issue if a software update triggered the issue.

Unless the new software is just not compatible with the hardware.

Still seems like a software fix instead of a costly logic board replacement.

Any other common denominator among our failing systems?

The Radeon Pro 560X?

The Intel UHD Graphics 630?

Update from Apple: The engineers are aware of this exact issue, they have numerous reports and are currently working on a fix. It is most likely a software bug which most likely will be fixed with an update, but the senior advisor does not have detailed information about that. He also said he does not know if the fix is going to be released as a Mojave Supplemental Update or if it gets included into Catalina.

Macbook Pro 15 (2019) 10.14.6, same problem here.

FaceTime, Skype, Teams, Hangout, they all reboot the system (kernel panic) after some random time of CAMERA use.

The Apple support said that everything is fine with my macbook, after bringing it back home, it reboots again, same thing over and over again.

I'm a dev working remotly, videocalls and develoment is what make my living. Please, fix this apple!

They sent me a key to download some sort of data collector (apple's) app, I downloaded and ran the app in clean macOS installation, then I sent 200 mbs of data to them.

They said that based on this data they will take action (exchange or repair). By the way, the machine is like 15 days old.

The tech support person said I may have an anwser early tomorrow. Lets see...

Same issue happening to me while video conferencing and screen sharing using either google meet or zoom.

I took it to Apple Support several times who changed the logic board one time, and did several hardware tests another time, but they keep saying that it's not a hardware issue. I switched from chrome to Firefox, as per Apple Support's instructions, with no luck. I switched from google meet to Zoom but it's still happening. I opened several cases with Apple Support to get it resolved with no luck.

It's very inconvenient especially when it happens during business meetings.

I thought of installing Ubuntu on it to avoid the issue, but I read in several articles that Ubuntu does not yet support this hardware.

Here is my hardware configurations:

MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018)

2.6 GHz Intel Core i7

16 GB 2400 MHz DDR4

Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

Someone from Apple's support suggested me to install high sierra on an external hard drive (don't know how, can't even download previous OS from apple), and if the problem persists, I should take my MBP (15, 2019, base model) in again. If there's no problem with HS, I should wait for Catalina, beacuse there is where the devs time focus is at.

Catalina release is expected to be next month.
