I was moving some files from my external hdd to my main hdd. And when I am looking on the mp4 files I can not see the thumbnail on the file. Some files I can see the preview thumbnail and some I can not. I have turned on "show preview" or whatever it's called. Any thoughts?

Macintosh generates thumbnails based on the primary frame of a video file. Do the video files start with a black first frame?
All of my .mp4 movies show in Finder because in Get Info, the default opening application is QuickTime Player. Don't forget to click the Change All… button.
Hi! sorry for late answer, No they don't. If u look closely they all have like the same "black/blank" thumbnail.
I have done that. Doesn't work. :(
