How to remove Apple News+ in the Apple news feed?

I tried it, hated it. Now Apple won't let me remove the feature. I see random articles that Apple promotes to news feed viewers, but don't want their "Apple News+" articles. There is no way to delete these unwanted advertisements in the app UI set up. Restrict Stories in Today does nothing to the "Apple News+" issue. This is a huge oversight by the Apple Development team. Is Apple really looking to annoy its users again with unwanted pushy feeds like they did with the U2 album from 2014? Haven't they learned by now?


If you have a method of removing this unwanted feature please let me know. The rest of the app works as advertised. Not so much the sneaky "Apple News+" bloatware.

To the best of my knowledge, there's no way to remove those articles any more than there is to remove the other ads. I agree they're rather annoying.
