Chrome Remote Desktop Popup, after deleting Chrome Remote Desktop

Hello,

I used to use Chrome Remote Desktop with a Kindle Fire and my iPhone 8 to access my Macbook laptop if I needed something. I have since stopped using it, so I uninstalled CRD. Or so I thought.

Whenever I boot up my macbook, I get the following pop-up. I feel this may be a security issue as I do not want others accessing my computer without permission or knowledge. I even un-checked CRD from the Accessibility page, it disappears, but when I restart, it shows up again. CRD does -NOT- show in my applications folder or anywhere in Finder. It also does not show up as a plugin for Google Chrome browser.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

MacBook

Hello guywithquestions22,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. I understand that you are having an issue removing Chrome Remote Desktop. I'm happy to provide you some direction.

I would recommend that you follow the steps in the following Google Chrome Help article, if you haven't already:

Access another computer with Chrome Remote Desktop

Specifically, see the sections called "Remove a computer from your list" and "Troubleshooting tips," which also has a link to the Chrome Help Forum in case you need more help with troubleshooting Chrome Remote Desktop.

Have a great day!
