How do I make a keyboard shortcut to paste my email
No, didn't help much. First I don't understand some of those directions, and couldn't make it 'work'. I can get to all those places - but don't understand what to put into those two spaces. In the first - just type in the email address I want it to PASTE? and then figure out a multiple key command ? I tried THAT and nothing 'stuck' when I tried my command in an email. Os it possible to give me directions in plain English? I AM an IT dummy. Thx.
Apple Menu, System Preferences… or in the Dock.
Open Keyboard and click on Text tab.
NO. I've seen this list. I want to make MY EMAIL paste when I type i.e., 12xyz, or some such. Whenever and wherever I type that shortcut.
Use Keyboard System Prefs to create a text replacement.
You could use something like eml to auto-expand to your address. Some apps may not support text replacement.
Thx, Barney. Where do I find keyboard 'System pref's"...If it ain't labeled as such, I've got no idea...Be gentle on me - it's my first time....
