Why won't the divider between apps drag across when in split screen on my iPad pro?

Split screen multitasking doesn’t work on new iPad generation seven Split screen multitasking doesn’t work on new iPad generation 7 . This is odd. I don’t even have that line at the bottom that gets you out of a program if you swipe up. I have watched YouTube videos about the split screen and multitasking but my dock just goes into the jitter delete or move app mode, There is no option to move anything to the side. I have multitasking enabled and the other permissions Though I am sketchy on which overlay setting is best or might help solve this. Thanks in advance.

Split screen on IPad does not close when I try to move the center control bar. The split screen does not close when I try to move the center control bar. Help!

This sounds like a glitch. Lets try restarting your iPad.

Thank you. That seems to be working now although you have to press and drag for a more prolonged time to make the divider move.
