If I send a text to a person and they have our conversation on hide alerts will my texts still show a “delivered” receipt?
Wondering because it seems like hide alerts is the same as do not disturb just for one person

Yes. All "delivered" means is that it was delivered to at least one of their devices. It does not imply that they were notified of the message.

As far as I know, it does show delivered if the target device is on DND. I've never seen it do otherwise, but then again, unless I get an error stating it was not delivered, I don't really stress over it.
So why does it not show delivered for do not disturb mode then? I thought the two were the same
