can we still load mp3s to ipod touch just like in ipod classic? the mp3 are not purchased from itunes store.

to clarify, when there is a MP3 file loaded in itunes and drag drop to Ipod touch, it will get the mp3 file?
Yes. You select the MP3s on your Computer and drag and drop them into your iTunes Library. After that you can sync them with to your iPod.
When you buy something in the iTunes Store the files will most likely be in the M4A format but you can use a converter to convert them to MP3 if you prefer that file format. Same thing also goes when you import songs from CDs with iTunes. They are also in M4A, but the iPod touch also supports M4A of course.
