If Zoom is crashing your Mac

One of the new UI things I noticed Apple doing with 10.14.6 is using it to pop-up dialogs in my face telling me that places I have looked at in Safari will take their Apple Pay and new Credit Card. Totally obnoxious and egregious violation of my computing on Mac in my opinion!

That’s fine. You wouldn’t be able to do what I was suggesting anyways since you don’t have a T2 chip in your Mac and your issue is entirely different from everyone else discussing the kernel panic issue in this thread.

I am experiencing the same issue and I think the more voices we have it might bring the management awareness!!!

It's really disappointing to see this reaction from Apple after buying the most expensive laptop in the market

What is the solution? I’m going out of my mind. $3,500 brand new Mac purchased specifically to use zoom and crashed on my 4 client zooms. It’s been back twice. They cleared it. I lost everything (my error back up). And again they blame zoom. All apple can tell me is to buy a new Camera to attach on the laptop which will be more comparable with zoom. I know don’t use my laptop for clients as I am not confident it won’t crash. How pathetic is that for Apple $3,500 laptop. What do the rest of you do? Have you purchased another camera to attach onto your laptop and that worked?

Hi thanks, yes I’m not tech savvy to to understand all those threads but Appreciate what you have suggested. Can I ask what you did? The installing sounds like that will be better in the long run than getting the additional Camera? And I just google that and follow how to? Thanks

No as I need someone to help me. I used Skype instead with an client and it also crashed. I Would of I never brought Mac book pro knowing I would have issues. I need to find someone technical to assist me as I don’t know how

I'm using a 2019 MBP 15'', base model. Perhaps we can narrow down whether the issue affects only the 15'' models or both 15'' and 13''.

Lol. I’ve had a ticket opened with Zoom since 7/23. If this is a new “test” client fantastic, but if it’s the existing generic instrumented client it hasn’t helped their support team.

Proposed workaround did not work

Facing the same issue since the update. 2019 MBP 15", 2.2 GHz, 16GB RAM, 256GB SDD. Crashing while using any app using webcam: Quicktime, Hangouts, Skype etc.

I have the same problem on my New MacBook Pro - It renders FaceTime unusable!!!!!!!!!

Apple, PLEASE FIX THIS !!

Also this frequently interrupts my webcasts which is my major source of income...
