How do I discontinue sharing text messages and downloads between IPHONES?

On your iPhone

Settings > Messages > Text Message Forwarding > [Select the device(s) which you do not want the texts to be send to]

I have no option for (text message forwarding) under messages. Are these the instructions for the iPhone XR?
