Photo uploading

Hi guys,

I just bought a MacBook Pro and since then I cannot get my library to upload into iCloud. It just gets stuck uploading since days....

Any advice?

how to upload files to iCloud drive? I can't seem to upload files to my iCloud drive. Never tried to before, and nothing in it, but when I'm logged in to iCloud on my Mac, and I drag various files into the Drive window, nothing happens. "No items." Must be some trick.

Can I pick when my Macbook should upload files to iCloud? One of the aggrevations I have with my Mac is the continuous uploading of files or photos to iCloud. For example, I imported a number of photos from my camera disk into Photos app so I can use Photos viewer to cull the bum photos. But they all get uploaded immediately which ties up my internet (I'm rural and have slow speed/low bandwidth). I would like to create a file or play with my photos and at some time that I choose, upload and/or sync with iCloud.

iCloud Files on desktop and documents are not uploading to iCloud. Photos and app are working fine. macOS Catalina 10.15.2 Any suggestions? I called Apple help and they had me turn off iCloud then turn it back on. And that worked one time, but with new documents added to my desktop they are not uploading again. Thank you!
