iphone update not happening

The memory of my iphone was full and there was a software update which got auto updated. Due to this my phone got stuck at the apple logo. Now i am unable to update my phone with itunes once i hit update it stays on update and does not go further. how do i resolve this?

Stuck on “preparing iphone for software update” I’m trying to update my iphone using itunes since it wouldn’t do anything when I click “download and install” directly from the iphone. But I’ve been waiting for it to update for close to two hours now and it’s stuck on “preparing iphone for software update” and my phone seems unaffected?

It's a bit late to save your data if you didn't already have it backed up.

Your only real option at this point is to restore iOS using iTunes.

Also i want to update my phone and not restore as i do not want to loose my data as all my data was not backed up on cloud!! :(
