0 MIDI Inputs detected

Hi,

I'm trying to use my Roland Juno-Di synthetiser as a controller keyboard to use in GB. I'm using the Scarlett 2i2 audio interface, which should not need any drivers on Mac. Indeed, it is recognised perfectly both by the system (either in the settings or in Audio Midi Setup app) and by GB (in Audio/MIDI preferences). The output works, since I hear sound from my computer through my headphones, plugged into the audio interface. I can also hear my keyboard when "Direct Monitor" is ON.

The problem starts when I try to play in GB : it does not recognise any MIDI input ("0 MIDI Inputs detected"). I tried resetting the MIDI drivers with no success (using the button in the GB settings). Any idea ?

Thank you !

additional info :

Roland Juno-Di is plugged into the Scarlett 2i2 with two Jack plugs, both set to LINE. 48V button is OFF, Direct Monitor is OFF.

I've got High Sierra (v 10.13.6) and GB 10.13.2.

the problem is that you in fact do not have any MIDI input in use.

you plugged the audio-OUT of your keyboard into the audio-IN on the interface, there is no MIDI signal in this chain.

you can record your keyboard's sounds on an audio track, but if you want to use it as a controller, you'll need to get a MIDI interface (and plug the MIDI-OUT of your keyboard to the MIDI-IN on the interface).
