Family Sharing

In the beginning it says family sharing will share all of my purchases with family. Then as you set it up it tells you that adult family can make purchases and it will be charged to me (without asking me).

How can my adult son share my purchases (Apple Music) but still make his own purchases paid by him?

If iTunes gift cards are available in your country he could try buying them and redeeming then onto his account, he won't be able to use his own credit or debit card.
