So I have a iPhone 6s I had an iPhone 7 before I was wondering why whenever I send a text using a video I’ll look at my contacts that I send it to and it’ll either say tap to download or the video just disappears I don’t understand why that is happening. I had an iPhone 7 before and I didn’t have that issue. Is there anything that you can do from that to keep happening?

Hey, Tinyrach.

I see that, when you're sending a video message or attachment in Messages, you either receive an alert to download it, or the video simply disappears. I'm glad to help.

Set up and use iCloud Photos -- If you use iCloud Photos, and you're optimizing the storage on your iPhone, you need to have it downloaded to your phone first. Open the Photos application, locate the video, then download it or share it from there.

If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch -- After following the steps under "Try these steps first", scroll down to "If you have issues with a group message". If you still can't send a video message, use the contact link under "Learn more".

Take care.
