Edit Printer Cover Page Type?

When I go to print something from my Macbook, there is a Cover Page option that seems totally useseless.

If i select it, it then gives me the option of choosing one of the following Cover Page Types: Standard, Classified, Confidential, Secret, Top Secret, and Unclassified

But so far, the only thing I can see to edit the cover page is to add something in the Billing Info section.

I printed a document caled AG_Chart using the Standard Cover Page Type on my HP Envy 5000 printer. I left the billing line blank. The resultant page had the following:

COVER PAGE

Job ID: HP_ENVY_5000_series-18

Title: AG_Chart

Printed For: MacBook

Printed From: localhost

Billing Information:

UNIX PRINTING SYSTEM

COVER PAGE

This is really useless.

I'd like to modify at least one of the cover pages to suit my own needs. But cannot find where the templates are located.

Are these templates editable?

If so, where are they located on the Mac?

And do I need any special app to edit them, or is editing them a native function of the Mac.

See if this previous discussion about Common Unix Printing System (CUPS) now the heart of MacOS spooling/printing -- has any value for you:

create custom printer cover page - Apple Community

In my opinion, anything you leave in the CUPS directories will NOT be over-written, as I use an old Apple Printer with a CUPS Driver, and installing it requires re-arranging things a bit. I find my changes are not removed.

It doesn't matter whether I print from Word, or Adobe Acrobat, or another program, and choice of printer doesn't matter either.

For example, when I choose a Brother printer, and choose Cover Page from the options, and then tick Before Document or After Document, I get the options I mentioned for Cover Page Type

On my HP printer, again I can choose Cover Page from the options

And when I select Cover Page, I get essentially the same screen as the Brother printer

Even if I choose to print to Adobe PDF, I get a similar option for Cover page
