Apple Music not loading

My iMac runs OS10.11.6 and iTunes 12.8.2.3

My apple music subscription is up to date

I get a blank page when I search apple music from the browse tab in iTunes. If I select 'this computer' rather than 'apple music' it works fine. The Radio and the For You section will not load. The same subscription works just fine on my iPhone X.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

This issue has persisted for about 2 weeks now. I have restarted in safe mode, forced quit iTunes and nothing has worked so far.

Hello lmp2019,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities! I understand that the For You and Radio tabs using Apple Music in iTunes on your iMac appear blank. Safe mode and restarting iTunes were great steps to try. I would be happy to help provide some additional steps to take next for this issue.

If your iMac is compatible, you may want to consider upgrading to macOS High Sierra or macOS Mojave, then test if the behavior persists:

If you do not upgrade your macOS, or if the pages still appear blank after, let's check if there may be proxy settings causing this behavior using the following steps:

  1. Open System Preferences > Network.
  2. Select your active internet connection in the list on the left.
  3. Click the 'Advanced' button at the lower-right of the window.
  4. Under the Proxies tab, confirm if there is a check next to SOCKS Proxy.

If SOCKS Proxy is enabled, let us know and we'll continue from there.

Cheers!
