I saved my emails as pdf using PDF Expert. However, since yesterday, Auguts 25, 2019, the created pdf files do not open and a message is displayed indicating the "X file is corrupted."

There is no need to use a third party app to convert anything to PDF. Simple select the document, e-mail, etc.. then Print and select PDF (lower left corner) and click the down arrow next to the box and select Save as PDF.

I did not cconverted the emails to jpgs. I was Just trying to see if something I did resently that have not done before caused the pdf files to be corrupted on PDF EXPERT. Yesterday, I converted other PDF files to jpgs using view but I have not checked on those to see if today they are opening though...
I need to group different pdf files and I use PDF EXPERT to do that. I am able to preview the emails and open them as saved in PDFs format in Adobe Reader but today they do not open in PDF EXPERT... it says: "x.pdf is corrupted" and does not open.... Please advice
If you converted them to jpgs do they open in Preview?
FWIW, the OP said they converted PDFs to JPGs. Not the other way around.
My error, and yes you are correct Preview would do the same thing!
