I sometimes experience the purple screen issue when my iMac fails to go to screen saver mode, but not always! Whilst not always happening, It does seem to occur when I leave something open, either a website or running app on the iMac. Any ideas please?

Thanks, I've done both now so lets see how it goes, as I say it was intermittent and only ever when i had left something running.

All good now thanks, although I did also apply the latest system update too, which apparently addressed similar issues for macbooks! Either way its sorted.
